Lane Closures and Detours.
During the course of this project lane closures and detours will be necessary. Please refer to this site for a full list of upcoming and current restrictions and closures.
This notice is posted regarding MTO Contract 2014-2026 , for the Highwayy 410 Widening from Eglinton avenue at South of the Highway 401 to Queen Street. in Brampton.
For the full duration of the 2017 construction season, the ramps from the Highway 401 Collectors East Bound (To Toronto) and West Bound (To Milton) to Highway 410 Northbound are restricted to one lane, as the right lanes on both ramps are closed.
The reductions to one lane on the above ramps to the 410 Northbound are necessary to accomplish the Staging work being done on the existing Highway 410.
In addition, the ramp lane are closed for the safety of the travelling public and the workers.
We apologize for any inconvenience that this may cause, and ask for your patience during this construction phase.
As well the ramp from Westbound 401 to Northbound 410 is being reconstructed and the ramp from 401 Eastbound to 410 Northbound the barrier wall is being reconstructed.
Traffic Closure Alert – Steele’s Ave West Bound, Ramp to Highway 410 North Bound
The existing ramp (E-N) for access to 410 North Bound from Steele’s Ave West Bound will be closed for the upcoming 2017/18 construction season. The required space to safely merge both the East and Westbound Steele’s ramps onto the 410 North Bound is not available. A Detour Route identified as D8 for access to the 410 North Bound is in place and well-marked.
Traffic Closure Alert – Highway 401 E (Toronto) to Highway 410 North Bound Ramp
For the full duration of the 2017 construction season, the on ramp from the 401 E (Toronto) to Highway 410 Northbound will be restricted to one lane again.
2017 Nightly Lane Closures: (General)
- Hwy 410 Northbound from 11 pm to 5 am.
- Hwy 410 Southbound from 11 pm to 5 am.
- On ramps from Midnight to 5 am.
- Hwy 410 from Hwy 401 to Etobicoke Creek will be in temporary configuration on the outside lanes.
- Hwy 410 from Steeles Ave to North of Queen Street will be in temporary configuration on the inside lanes.
- Hwy 403 from Eglinton Ave to Hwy 401, will have some lane restrictions.
